ShiftLog Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Account information. When you or your organization creates an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. Passwords are stored only in hashed form.
• Content you create. Shift logs, handoffs, incidents, announcements, checklists, tasks, facility and area records, and related notes you enter into the app. This content belongs to your organization.
• Usage and diagnostic data. We may collect limited product-analytics and diagnostic information (for example, sign-in events and basic interaction data) to operate, secure, and improve the service.
• Technical data. Standard server logs such as IP address, device/browser type, and timestamps, used for security and reliability.

2. How we use information

We use the information to provide and maintain the service, authenticate users, keep your organization’s data separated and secure, maintain an audit history for accountability, diagnose problems, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. How information is shared

Your organization’s content is visible to authorized members of your own organization based on their role. We share information only with service providers that help us run ShiftLog (such as hosting and analytics providers) under appropriate confidentiality obligations, or where required by law. We do not share your data with unrelated third parties for their own marketing.

4. Data security

All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Access to organization data is restricted by authentication and role-based permissions, and mutations are recorded in an audit log.

5. Data retention and deletion

We retain account and content data for as long as your account or organization is active. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at [email protected]. Organization owners may also manage member access within the app.

6. Children's privacy

ShiftLog is a workplace tool intended for use by adults (18+) in a professional context. It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
